Itinerary
Day before
We will meet in San Martín de Los Andes.
Briefing with the guide to discuss the tour itinerary and safety measures, and check the bikes.
Day 1 | San Martín de Los Andes - Lago Escondido - San Martín de Los Andes
To warm up and before beginning the journey north, the plan is to visit one of the most beautiful spots around San Martín de Los Andes, Lago Escondido.
Day 2 | San Martín de Los Andes - Aluminé
The route is very scenic, mostly following the course of the Aluminé River with its rapids and stunning blue color, through a large canyon between the mountains.
Our destination is a lovely inn just meters from the river, where we can relax after this first day.
Day 3 | Aluminé - Villa Pehuenia
We hop on our bikes to start a journey through the araucaria forest, rare rock formations, stone cliffs, and 5 lakes. An incredible day to enjoy every kilometer. For relaxation, we've chosen an inn with excellent views of Lake Aluminé.
Day 4 | Villa Pehuenia - Paso del Arco - Batea Mahuida - Villa Pehuenia
A great adventure day, different from the rest of the journey, awaits us. The plan is to head to the Chilean border via Paso del Arco, reaching Laguna Corazón. From this lagoon, we start a section of rugged trails where, in some areas, we'll walk with our bikes in hand. The end of this trail section is the top of Laguna Batea Mahuida, from where we'll have a descent of over 25 km to our accommodation.
Day 5 | Villa Pehuenia - Aluminé - San Martín de Los Andes
The last day of this trip will head south towards Aluminé, but this time we'll take the eastern shore of the lake. A gravel road with a gentle gradient will allow us to say goodbye to this journey with an excellent final day. When we arrive in Aluminé, a transfer will be waiting to take us back to San Martín de Los Andes.

› Bike maintenance: Every night the guides check and clean your bike. The next day you start out like it's day one.
› Safety and emergencies: Guides certified in first aid, satellite communication, and an Emergency Response Protocol that involves the entire operation. Prepared so that nothing happens — and ready if it does.
